Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with Mckella. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Because we are based in Switzerland and serve the Swiss market, we voluntarily provide our customers with a transparent and generous return and withdrawal policy.

1. Right of Withdrawal & Return (30 Days)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract and return your item within 30 days without giving any reason.

  • Timeline: The withdrawal period is 30 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.

  • How to Exercise This Right: To officially cancel your contract or initiate a return, you must inform us via a clear statement (e.g., an email) sent to:

2. Effects of Withdrawal & Refunds

  • Refund Process: If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than 30 days from the day we receive your withdrawal notice. On average, refunds are processed within 3 business days of approval, after which it typically takes an additional 5–10 business days for the funds to appear on your account, depending on your bank or card provider.
  • Payment Method: We will process the refund using the same payment method you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
  • Withholding: We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods back at our Swiss facility, or until you have supplied verifiable evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is earliest.
  • Restocking Fees: We do not charge any restocking fees for returned items.

3. Return Shipping & Address

  • Return Shipping Costs: The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods. Return shipping labels are not prepaid by Mckella. We highly recommend using a trackable Swiss Post shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of lost return packages.

4. Important Exclusions & Hygiene Notes

To ensure the highest standards of safety and consumer protection, the right of return or withdrawal does not apply to the following:

  • Hygiene Sealed Items (Earrings): Our earrings are delivered with a distinct hygiene seal. For health protection and hygiene reasons, returns are strictly accepted only if this hygiene seal remains completely unbroken and intact. If the seal is broken or tampered with, a refund cannot be issued.

  • Diminished Value: You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is strictly necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the jewelry.
